ShutBoard · The Sales Floor

The composition book is dead. Long live the desk.

Board a deal from a phone in the rain. Commission calculates to the penny before the buyer leaves the lot. F&I picks it up the next morning. The whole floor sees it on the TV.

$249 / month per store. No contracts. Less than a mini deal.

Board it. Calculate it. Show it. Settle it.

A deal lives a full life inside ShutBoard. From the rain-soaked phone at 9:15pm to the GM’s morning packet.

01

Quick-board

Stock, salesperson, front, back. VIN auto-decodes. Submit.

02

Commission live

Pay plan engine runs. The salesperson sees the number before they leave.

03

F&I picks up

F&I fills products, lender, reserve. 15-minute deadline alerts if missed.

04

TV updates

Race board animates. Pacing shows the gap. Hall of fame remembers.

The TV Board

The board everybody watches.

Five panels on auto-rotation. The whole floor sees the same truth in real time. No composition book on a clipboard. No GM walking around asking “where are we at?”

Race Board. Bars grow as units land. Winner gets confetti.
Pacing. “You need 2.1 per day to hit 25.” Direct. No spreadsheet.
Hall of Fame. All-time records. Tiebreaker: front gross wins.
Model Mix. What’s selling. What’s sitting.
90-Day Leaderboard. Rolling unit ranking. Streaks visible.

Commission Engine

Your pay plan lives here now, not in someone’s inbox.

25+ stacked components. Salary, draw, tiered front, PVR formulas, volume bonuses, chargebacks, spiffs. Copy a template, customize for the closer who negotiated different terms, get the GM to approve it. Done.

Approval gate. Pay plans don’t go live until the GM signs off. No surprises on payday.
AI parser. Upload a PDF. Claude reads it, lays out the components, you review.
What-if calculator. Salesperson runs hypotheticals. “If I close this for $4,200 front, what do I make?”
Effective gross logic. Desk gross drives commission. Accounting overrides only when posted.

Permissions & Trust

13 roles. 10 toggles each. No one-size-fits-all.

A salesperson can’t see another rep’s commission unless the GM says so. F&I can’t edit front gross. The closer sees the numbers they need and nothing else. Override anyone, anytime, per profile.

Edit window. 12 hours of free edits, then alerts fire to GSM and GM with field-level diffs.
F&I deadline. Cron sweeps every 2 hours. Incomplete deals don’t sit silent.
Audit log. Every change. Every user. Every timestamp. Backed up to the database.
Backout deals. Can’t delete. Must back out with GM approval and a reason.

Every seat at the desk has a screen.

GM & GSM

The morning packet. Pacing. Approval queues. Audit log. Everything in one screen, no walking the floor at 9pm asking for numbers.

Sales Manager

Boards deals, approves quick-board submissions, runs the desk. Sees the team’s pacing. Spiffs the top performer with one click.

F&I

Picks up where the desk left off. Products, lender, reserve, chargebacks. Doesn’t touch front gross. Owns the back end.

Salesperson

Quick-board from a phone. See own deals. See own commission. Run what-ifs before pencil. Never asks the desk “what did I make?”

Closer / TO

Sees the front. Helps land it. Doesn’t see back gross unless told. Override per profile when you trust the closer with both numbers.

BDC

Tracks appointments, not deal financials. No front-gross visibility. Books the lay-down, hands the up to the floor.

AI That Speaks Dealer

Deal tape. Pay-plan parser. Deep dive.

Claude API trained on the dealer terminology that matters. Stocks. Tiers. Splits. Mini deals. Holdback. Pack. The model reads pay plans like a dealer would.

Pay-plan parser. Upload the PDF. Components come out the other end. GM reviews and approves.
Deal tape. Today’s deals grouped by health: slams, F&I saves, desk only, bleeders.
Deep dive. “Why is back gross down vs last month?” Get an answer, not a chart.
